that earthquake was pretty spooky. I thought it was mat's neighbors going at it. apparently I pointed towards a moving candle holder and exclaimd " things are shaking," before he stated "earthquake" and went for the door frame. then it all made sense for me - standing under the doorframe, riding seismic waves and hearing mat's quickened breath. they say it lasted 10 seconds, but to me there was an hour inside those 10 seconds.
