things happening this week for Kool Bobby : well my favorite man with a bass in his hand mike watt is playing this friday at 14 Below with stephen perkins (janes addiction) and peter distefano ( porno for pyros) in a group called "hellride". they play stooges covers! I've seen them before and I can't wait to get back.

then saturday is the grand opening of LA's version of Amoeba Records. Amoeba, if you don't know, is the
best damn music store around. the original store is in berkeley, and they also have one on haight street near Jeff's place in S.F. the stores are HUGE and they have the best selection of new and used goods on the planet. my roomate sweeney and I are giddy with anticipation. We've both already started our respective lists of shit to look for. we're goin early before they open as I'm sure they'll be a huge line. the toughest decision is where to go first in the store -- used cd's, used vinyl, imports, damn where to begin?
