so I was opening the dictionary to look up the word maudlin. It's a thick book, ya know, but I open it and the first word I see is maudlin. it is perhaps the most emotional moment in a while for me, and it reminds me of my grandmother and her amazing vocabulary and it brought me just short of tears - but that's what a maudlin moment will do to you.
