can guitarist and co-founder Michael Karoli died sunday at age 48. if you haven't listened to can, you should. it's raw, often tribal sounding experimental music. they have influenced countless "art rock" music groups (sonic youth, blonde rehead, stereolab, broadcast ) . they were WAY ahead of their time, and still are.
